Check out this totally awesome video that we made for our Main Autumn 2013 collection. We had some cool “parkours dudes” from Denmark do their thing, while trying to JUMP into a pair of Blend jeans at the end… see for your self if they succeeded…
Definition from wikipedia:
Parkour (French pronunciation: [paʁˈkuʁ]) (abbreviated PK), also called as the “art of displacement”, is a training discipline that developed out of military obstacle course training.
Practitioners aim to move from one place to another, negotiating the obstacles in between. The discipline uses no equipment and is non-competitive. A male practitioner is generally called a “traceur”, a female a “traceuse”.
Developed by Raymond Belle, David Belle, Sébastien Foucan and other members of the original Yamakasi group, parkour became popular in the 1990s and 2000s through a series of documentaries and films featuring these practitioners and others.
But we’re “blended” with our entire family of brands at the semi annual Bread & Butter Fashion Fair in Berlin. It’s great being here, and we hope you like the pictures

With her hand she wipes away her long, floating hair, raises the microphone to her mouth and lets her voice tune in on the slow beat of the band. The air is filled with electric tension, vibrating along with the music. Without the band there would be no soundboard for her voice, without her distinct voice there would be nothing to tie the band together and no one to take the audience on a voyage of beauty and poetry.

While on the fashion fair in Berlin this summer, we had a visit from the German TV show “hallo Deutschland” (airs on ZDF)

Last week we did a photo shoot of next year’s high summer collection. Here is a little preview.
We asked the head designer of Blendshe and our model to choose their favorite outfit of the collection. Below they explain their choises.
Head designer, Rikke, who chose a dress and a demin waistcoat, said:
“I am so happy with the colors and prints of this collection – especially this dress. With its feminine silhouette and beautiful print it is a must have in the collection. The print is inspired by a little graphic cloth bag found in a vintage shop, and has a very urban boheme look – and combined with this nice vintage washed denim waistcoat – it gives a more raw touch to the outfit”
The model, Emma chose a pair of soft, baggy pants, which where also chosen due to the print and the colors. Furthermore, Emma states that the pants are perfect for those evenings where you just want to kick back and relax.
The accessories selected for the photo shooting are ethnic and Rock Chic inspired.The stylist was inspired by the batik flair of the collection and the vintage-inspired prints. She uses a mix of bohemian and Rock chic references, combined with a lot of silver to make the look appear softer. (We are all just crazy about the dangling leopard hoops, found in an Indian store in Copenhagen – aren’t they great?) And we must say, that the chosen accessories manage to express the mood of the coming collection perfectly.
So look forward for the high summer 2013 collection… We sure do!
